Congratulations to the following 7th and 8th grade Chute Media Arts students who had their work displayed at the Northshore Center for Performing Arts last week for the SOAR Art Exhibit. Amelia Crowe Grace Fay Greta Ingraham Nina Laurent Kyle Kersnar Brianna Nielsen Chimere Riley-Garrett Chris Wolfe Chute Media Arts student work on display at the Art Show. Which project/s were your favorite? What did you like best about them?
What were the most important things you learned in this class? How will you use those skills in the future? What accomplishment are you proudest of this trimester? Tell what makes you proud. What would you change for next trimester? Projects, ways of working, things to make the class better? Are you trying out for advanced media arts? What are you most excited to do in 8th grade Media Arts? 7th Graders are just finishing their Photoshop portraits! Students took a screenshot of their progress each day, then used the web app gifmaker.me to put all the screenshots in order into a Gif Animation. Outstanding work, 7th graders!
Students are so excited to use our new large green screen and lighting equipment to produce amazing green screen videos! 6th graders are using the green screen to make stop motion movies using apps such as DoInk's Green Screen app. 7th graders filmed artist statements about their portraits in front of the green screen and used Final Cut video editing software to place themselves in front of their photo portraits while describing them. 7th graders also used the studio lighting and DSLR camera to take photos for their Photoshop portraits. Some of the 8th grade Advanced Media Arts students are also using the green screen to create their six word story videos, in conjunction with the Inside Out Project. We can't wait to see their finished creations! See students working below! Special thanks to Mrs. Kushner's 1st period class for assembling the green screen and lighting equipment! They displayed great teamwork as a class and quick problem solving skills to put everything together in one class period!
