In media arts at chute i felt that i worked best in a group because then other people in the group could contribute to the project in positive ways. And the cooperation helped build ideas that you would not have thought of before. I especially enjoyed taking photos for the imovie. But sometimes i had a hard time focusing. But the variety of learning tools in the classroom helped build our projects. Overall i believe that my time in chutes media arts was a successful, productive, and fun learning experience.
In the beginning when i was making the project i wanted every picture to look as good as possible. And I specifically like the way picture number 17 turned out because I like the way that the colors look good with the lighting.
#*In My Evanston*#
In my Evanston I walk to the park ready to freerun with my friends.
We do parkour, which in French means “to get from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible.I wear my gym shoes that I bought online from
a site dedicated to Parkour. The shoes have five seams that help absorb impact as you jump off of a surface.
Four of my friends are by my side as we arrive at Leah Lomar Park.
There’s a fence all the way around the park that only has one entrance.
We climb over the wooden beams of the fence, rolling across the grass as we land to make the movement as smooth as possible.
There are picnic tables on the grass with trees five feet away.
Sometimes we climb the trees and land on the picnic tables, or we make a route from one side of the park to another and try to get there as quickly as we can.
We race across the park using different routes to see which will be fastest.
We also play a game called “troll”, where you have to stay on the playground equipment without touching the wood chips, while trying to stay away from the person who is “it”.
The last person who hasn’t gotten tagged at the end wins the game and gets to be troll next.
We also do parkour at other parks in the area.
These are just a few of my favorite things to do in my Evanston.
