In my Evanston….
Every time I go outside the freezing, blistering Winds hitting my face, Giving me frost bite. The crashing, spinning, out of control, cars. Watching people rushing to get on the bus Like their life depended on it. I’m having to bundle up Like I was Sasquatch in the summer. Hearing the Ambulances racing back and forth. Everybody is going down on ice as fast as Usain bolt runs. Every kid is making snowballs and throwing them at each other. Like it is war. Cars covered in snow, like a white sheet. I am standing on a mound of ice I feel like I am king of olympus. playing basketball in a warm environment waiting for baseball. Getting annoyed with the warm than cold weather. It is like me changing my ideas on which game to buy. The time waiting for baseball is like an old lady getting to her car. I don’t have a lot of things to do until it gets warmer. The cold weather has beaten me up, like I am a punching bag. I am trying to go outside but the snow is hard so there goes football. I am tempted to go swimming in the lake if summer doesn’t come, already starting to try on swimsuits. |
