For my self portrait, I decided to wear my Grandmother's shirt and my mom's sweater because they both have been in my life and supported me through everything. I'm wearing my Grandma's shirt because I wanted to show that even though I am spoiled in many ways, I do still love her for being the best Grandmother ever. I wore my mother's black jacket because sometimes we don't get along very well, but even through good and bad, we still have a bond that no one can break. I had my hair down because when both my Grandma and Mom were younger, they had very long hair. I'm making a heart in this photo to show that I love the both of you and hope we can still be able to bond like this when we get older, because I love living life with you two and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I really like this photo because it brings out the colors in my skin and around me. I used Adobe Photoshop to selectively color his picture. Amelia Crowe took the photo of me in color. Then I brought it into Photoshop and duplicated the layer and desaturated the color so it would be black and white. Then I used an eraser tool to reveal the color on the bottom layer. I think the selective color looks interesting and different from the other photos I took. I brought out the browns and blues on my clothes and skin, making my skin color look more vibrant and bright, when I know I’m pretty dark. The excess colors on the staircase make up the background and I think it looks amazing. It’s very interesting how the perpendicular lines of the staircase look like they’re leading to the middle of my body, right to my face, and brings out of body shape more. I’m proud to be able to make something so creative like this, since I sometimes doubt my own creative talent. |
Welcome to Jaden's Page!
I'm a little crazy in a good way, but I'm friendly and lovable. Hanging out with me is like going on a roller coaster. We'll have ups and downs, but it's still super fun! I enjoy RPG Horror Games, and drawing anime and manga comics. I'm that nerd you'd see in school, but still pretty darn cool (Heh I rhymed without knowing it). Archives
