Heyo my fellow lovelies~
So.. I FINALY FINISHED THE SKETCH but my hands are so shaky I'm scared to do the official outline... Then again, I have to clear up the sketch a little bit to know what I'm gonna do... Uggggg
I'm honestly terrified <3
Wish me luck, lovelies.
Day one--Started out with a simple sketch, window-type background, curtains flowing in, main character Imani Portland staring out the window. That was the original concept, and stayed the concept
Day two--I decided to fix the head a little bit, and went off working on the hair. I figured since the photo was driving me literally insane over the fact I couldn't freaking make the head right without the hair, I made many sketches before the final sketch result to make it look okay. It took most of the period, as it was the only thing I actually finished during this day. I was so happy I got to finish it UGH
Day three--This is where things got complicated. The face and the shirt were obviously going to be added sooner or later, so I figured, hey, may as well do it now. The face was done with the hair on opacity 0%, and once I finished the face, I added the hair back. It looked a bit odd, so I had rearrange it slightly. CAN I JUST SAY, DRAWING TWO PERFECT EYEBALLS IS SOMETHING SO HARD TO DO. I MANAGED TO DO IT AND I THINK I'M GOING TO DIE BECAUSE HOLY IT'S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND BWAAAAAAAAAH--Anyways, sorry for my little raptor screech there, I just realized what an accomplishment I made. After that, I moved onto the shirt. Now, I didn't really know what to do, because shirts have wrinkles and stuff like that, and I haven't practiced drawing fabric, unlike other peeps who can REALLY draw. So, Idid my best and just said "Let's do this" and started making as many ruffles and wrinkles as I could. Now, there's a difference between the original chest design and with the shirt. It's a lot more defined and actually NOT lopsided (boobs are so hard to draw). After, I realized, IMANI DOESN'T HAVE A COLLARBONE!!! So I added that in. And then this last picture came out. I'm so proud <3
I think I may cry over this omg I haven't drawn since early December and then this happens.
Time to outline this...I'm terrified. And I plan to color this JESUS TAKE THE PRNDL
