In my Evanston.
I walk to the bus with a grey sky and a biting cold.
Houses lined up in rows as I walk past create long shadows.
At the bus stop there’s snow on the ground, it crunches under my feet when I walk.
I wait a while and the bus comes around the corner, warmth on wheels.
on the bus i unzip my backpack and take out a book and lose track of time.
the bus door opens and cool air startles the pages of my book I look up.
School is here and a new day has begun.
In first period, I sit at the computer with the bright screen lit up in blue and green.
We work on poems and pictures most of the time, and create stopmotion bending time.
The bell rings loud, first period has ended, second period has begun!
The math class, with its posters advertising multiplication, addition, division, and subtraction.
I endure in math for two periods then go to 4th period
In social studies we watch an inspirational video That shows how we can success in life.
We talk about the Anchent Sumerians and Mesopotamia and how Anchent humans settled down.
in science we record todays weather and talk about mass and weight and how atoms make our mass.
Then the bell rings, it's time for lunch.
In lunch I sit at my table with my friends. I pour the lunch on the table and sort through its contents and find my sandwitch and take a bite of crunchy pickles and juicy ham then open my juice and drink the whole thing.
My lunch disappears bite by bite and soon it nothing but wrappers and crumbs to be thrown away, it's time for recess.
The lunch supervisors have us line up to go recess.
Outside the wind grabs at my coat and the cold bites my fingers through my gloves.
I follow the other boys to the goal to play soccer in the snowy grass.
The bell rings loud and I sprint upstairs to get my gym uniform and sprint back just as the bell rings and the line starts moving in the locker room.
I put on my gym uniform and sprint into the gym.
In the gym, after Mr.P takes attendance and then I go into the fitness center and get on a bycicle then start peddling and make the fan go wild.
After a while I start playing ketch with the 6 kilogram ball that I looks heavy but it's really not, it weighs about 13 pounds.
In a few minutes it put the ball away to take a running start and jump at a pole with flags at the top it looks like an indoor flagpole eith plastic flags at the top.
I reach a 2 on the red markers and try to beat it.
The bell rings and I take off my uniform and run to 8-9.
In 8-9 I have language arts in room 304 with it's bookshelves lining the walls, and it's posters with their quotes on reading and advice on life.
After we read our group books we summarize and analyze what happens in the text then see how the character reacted to it.
The bell rings loud and I stop for a drink of water on the way to advisory.
In advisory the class is full of kids doing math, science, social studies, and LA .
The math is the longest to do with it's multiplying fractions, the science is next with it's questions about mass and atoms, then it’s social studies with questions on ancient Sumer, then L-A to read my book.on the bus i unzip my backpack and take out a book and lose track of time. I get off at my stop and walk home with the sun setting, casting long shadows.
