In this photo you see me leaning against a wall, looking off into the distance. I really like this picture although it was hard to choose this one from the many great photos we took. I edited the original photo by increasing the exposure to brighten the light areas in the image. Making my picture brighter made my expression look more natural, instead of dark and full of shadow. Originally the picture showed my entire body but I cropped it to just show my torso because I wanted the viewer to focus on my face. I played with the contrast until I found what I thought was a good balance of darks and lights. My sweater is darker than the bricks which makes it stand out from the background. You can also see a ray of light from the sun on the bottom left corner of the picture.
1) I really liked how only part of my face is shown and how it's darker than most of my pictures.
2) I liked how my entire face is shown and not much else is visible. I used more contrast to bring out my dark hair. 3) I chose to focus on my smile in this one. |
