Directions for artist statement, Feb. 19, 2014
In Photoshop, create a new file-- 11 x 17.
Drag and drop the photo you used for your artist statement into the photoshop document.
Apple + T , hold shift and pull the corners to enlarge to fit the page.
Click the text tool and drag it on your page to make a text box.
Copy the words from the artist statement you wrote on your blog and paste into the text box.
Press enter/backspace to space out the sentences so they fit on the page.
Pick a font and color that will stand out and be easy to read.
Use the move tool to move your text to a spot on the page that will make it easy to read.
Save as- artist statement final Make the file format .jpg (in the save panel towards the bottom switch Photoshop to .jpg.
Post your final image onto your blog page with the title FINAL ARTIST STATEMENT.
Due at the end of class!!
When you finish-- make a new post called INSIDE OUT PROJECT and write some reflections about the project.
Does the display look how you expect?
What were your thoughts seeing all the images up for the first time?
How does this exhibit shape our hallways-- does it change the mood, or feeling as you walk past the images?
What did you think of the hanging process?
What themes or ideas should we explore when we continue the next phase of the Inside out project?
