I have learned a lot over the course of this year in Media Arts. Coming into the class I had very little knowledge on photoshop and how to utilize all the tools. After, the painting project, I have mastered using the brush, mixerbrush, and eyedropper to create cool and inspiring images. Now, with the new room project, I am learning how to take images off the internet and incorporate them into my room. I have also learned how to take cool picture with different angles and points of views. Overall I have learned a great deal of new ways to create creative pictures. I had a lot of fun in class this year!
I'm currently working on my photoshop dream room. I dint want to have a theme in my room l just wanted it to be a place where i could be me. So I decided to make the room artistic, and comfortable with soft aqua blue walls and Aztec prints and patterns on the walls. Now that I've gotten more comfortable with photoshop I've began challenging my self more with the different tools. I learned more about the magnetic lasso and how to rotate and distort images to make them fit just right, I'm really enjoying this project so far!
The Photoshop experience was challenging but at the same time rewarding. I started off the project by using the eyedropper to incorporate the lights and dark's into my piece, I used my brush to create large globs that I would latter blend together to create a more realistic finish. As the project went on I realized my large globs didn't capture enough of the lights and dark's in my painting. So I decided to make my brush smaller and dot each different color and later blend the small dots together. This method took a very long time, but my painting ended up looking great! Each little dot became a part of a bigger picture, a picture that created something artistic and powerful.
So far in photoshop, I have outlined my figure, and began painting. The outlining part of the project is the most difficult part. You have to be sure to get all the folds and edges, every dimple and crease. For this part I used the brush tool, with the color black and outlined my body. This part took a long time but was very fun and worth while when I finished it. The next step was coloring. Coloring takes a lot of focus and attention. You have to get each and every shade of color that is on your body. So I used the zoom tool to get a close up on the certain part I was working on. Then I used the eyedropper to get the certain color, then I used the brush to paint that color. This part of the project was very hard, but I'm getting used to it and making progress!
You think you know me? Come inside my soul and I will show you we are not just one thing, we are the orange in the sunset, and the laughter of a child. Our school travels in a river of positivity, a family, that keeps each other afloat. Inside these bars is passion and learning. We are not caged birds but rather the high flying eagles that soar. We eagles don’t fall, we take flight.
