Original Picture: Day #1 Day #2 Day #3 Day #4 Day #5 Day #6 (painting) Day #7 Day #8 Day #9 Day #10 Day #11 Day #12 Day #13 Day #14 Day #15 Day #16 This is my final picture. I think that I did pretty good but if I could try this project again, I would try harder to match my skin tone better to my skin. My favorite part of the painting was blending the colors in my hair. I hope you enjoyed my process!
In the past few days, we have been browsing through the Internet looking at self-portraits made by other people. Above are some self-portrait images that I like and that will inspire my photo. My self-portrait plan is to create a simple but eye-drawing photo. I want to take a picture that has an effect that makes the picture move. I plan to wear something that is not too distracting. I want to do a shot that is not all of my body, but the upper half. My goal is to make a self-portrait that has an interesting background and simple lighting with a cool touch.
In this photo I’m standing against a brick wall. I chose to describe this photo because I like the way I desaturated it to bring out the lights and darks. I cropped the photo to show only the upper half of me. I like the mysterious feel to the picture and the way my expression has a hint of a smile. I chose to edit out most of the background because I wanted the viewer to focus on my face and sweater. My expression is hard to discern. My gaze makes you wonder what I’m thinking about. I like how the black and white coloring and the soft lighting in this picture give a calm, warm effect.
1.) I like this picture because it is super intense and shows a strong contrast. 2.) This picture has an interesting shading and it makes me want to smile! 3.) I like that this picture shows half of my face. 4.) I like that this picture shows all of my face. 5.) The close up of my lips is cool.
