1) What has you group worked on so far?
We cut off the fronts of two boxes. One of the boxes is the candy dispenser and the other is to put the bottles on. On the candy dispenser box, we cut four holes in the back for 4 different types of candy to come out. On the other box, we made a shelf to that there can be a bottom and top row of bottles lined up. We also made little pillar-type things sticking out to support the front of the shelf. We also started working on the art aspect of the candy dispenser and a support for the two boxes once they are stacked on top of each other.
2) What are some challenges your group faced?
Our biggest challenges was probably just figuring out a way for the shelf to be sturdy and supported. We might also have trouble with having the boxes be sturdy once they are stacked.
3) How did you overcome these challenges?
We combined two people's good ideas to make an even better way to support the shelf.
4) What is the next step for your group?
We have the design for the candy dispenser but we still have to paint it. We also have to figure out a way to have the boxes not fall over.
5) What are your favorite parts about working on this project so far?
It's cool to see your ideas actually come to life. Also it's satisfying when we tried a few ideas that didn't work and then it finally turns out right.
6) What are the parts that have been the most difficult?
The most difficult parts were probably figuring out ways to build each part so that it would be durable.
