In the beginning of the process of our little project we viewed the illustrations from the book Chess Rumble by G., illustrated by Jesse Joshua Watson. Without looking at the writing we looked at the illustrations and described what we saw, and inferred what the photo might have been about. Afterwards, we all each got separate illustrations to describe, inference, and ask questions about in separate groups. Once we all wrote what we saw, inferred, and wrote questions we all took videos of us talking about what we have written. The next day we all watched and heard everyones recording as we discussed and read the story itself and finally realized what the story really was about. Once we got over this we read the first page where we got inspired by the why he was saying "In my hood". From there we all made poems sort of similar to this. One poem was suppose to be a sad poem while the second poem was basically the opposite of the first poem and happy. We revised some of our poems and finally took photos to go with the two poems. It took a few days to get through this process because we had to get perfect photos, edit them, crop them, and etc. Once we got through this we photoshopped our photos and added our poems to it. At first we left it to a photo shop file until Mrs. Kushner checked and revised our photos to finally make our photos to jpg files. Furthermore, once we finished we blogged about what we did in our photos and why and posted the photos and description into our blogs.
